Taxi Medicals

To ensure the safety of passengers and other road users, taxi and private hire drivers in the UK are required to undergo regular medical examinations. These assessments confirm that drivers meet the DVLA Group 2 medical standards necessary for operating a taxi or private hire vehicle. The requirements of the test are specific to the local authority / council who issue the licence. Please ensure that the form states that any Doctor can complete as sound councils state that your current GP must be used. This is the case for East Hampshire Council.
